Shanghai International Port ( Group) Co., Ltd. (SIPG) is the largest port operator in mainland China. CMPort is currently holding 26.45% of SIPG share and it's the second largest shareholder of SIPG. CMPort's investment in SIPG signied CMPort successful proposition in the establishment of a nationwide hub port network. It also served as a platform for CMPort to sustain growth in port business in a long run.

Becoming an international port operator is the goal of SIPG. Actively participating domestic and overseas construction and investment projects, by means of integrating port resources, changing functions of old port and expanding port market, implementing 3 strategies, i.e. "Yangtze River, South East Asia, Internationalization", to derive asset from the 4 pillars in container terminal, bulk terminal, port logistics and port business, and gradually to develop an operating environment for its core business in terminal and container operation and radiate it to domestic and international market.
