Wang Xiufeng appointed as the Managing Director of CMPort
The Board of Directors (the “Board”) of China Merchants Port Holdings Company Limited (“CMPort” or the “Company”, HKSE Code: 00144) announces that it has resolved to appoint Mr. Wang Xiufeng as Executive Director and Managing Director of the Company and a member of the nomination committee and remuneration committee with effect from 26 August 2021，to succeed Mr. Bai Jingtao, who has resigned as Executive Director and Managing Director of the Company and a member of the nomination committee and remuneration committee due to change of work arrangement.
Mr. Wang Xiufeng is CEO of China Merchants Port Group Co., Ltd., shares of which is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. He is a senior accountant and senior engineer, graduated from Northeast University with a bachelor’s degree in industrial accounting, and obtained master’s degree in business administration from Tsinghua University. He has served as the chairman and general manager of China Merchants Expressway Network & Technology Holdings Co., Ltd., the chief financial officer of China Merchants Huajian Expressway Investment Co., Ltd. a director of Xingyun Digital Clustering (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., the vice chairman of Shandong Expressway Holdings Co., Ltd, a director of Henan Zhongyuan Expressway Holdings Co., Ltd, a director of Anhui Expressway Holdings Co., Ltd, the vice president of Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd., the chairman of MCC Jingtang Construction Co., Ltd., and the general Manager of MCC 22nd Metallurgical Construction Company.
The Board further announces that Mr. Ge Lefu has tendered his resignation as Executive Director of the Company with effect from 26 August 2021 due to change of work arrangement
Mr. Bai Jingtao and Mr. Ge Lefu have performed their duties as Directors diligently and conscientiously during their term of office. The Board would like to take this opportunity to express its gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Bai Jingtao and Mr. Ge Lefu for their remarkable contributions to the Company during their term of offices.
