Ambassador Yang listened to detailed management briefings and investigate the terminal site, he highly appreciated the operation and management of TCP.

The management team briefed Ambassador Yang with  TCP's existing liner routes coverage and the basic situation of Brasil's container trade with other countries. Ambassador Yang expressed his concern on the integration of Sino-Brasil culture after CMPort’s acquisition. Ms. Natalie Wan, deputy general manager and chief financial officer of TCP, introduced CMPort’s overseas expansion milestone to Ambassador Yang. The TCP project is the largest container terminal merger and acquisition transaction in Brasil and Latin America, which has brought both economic and social benefits to China and Brasil. The expansion project has created more than 1,000 jobs in the local area. After the first year of delivery in 2018, TCP’s operating results achieved a record high in 20 years since the establishment of the TCP terminal. Ambassador Yang requested detailed explanation from the Chinese expatriates concerning the terminal expansion project, sea-rail transport connection and the operation of terminal warehouse. He also expected that after the completion of the expansion project, TCP would attract more hinterland supply, improve quality and create value.

The Port of Paranaguá is located in Paraná, southern Brasil, and is the second largest container terminal in Brasil in terms of throughput capacity. At present, the port's design capacity is 1.5 million TEUs and is expected to increase to 2.4million TEUs after further expansion. TCP’s concession will be expired by year 2048.
