CMPort Awarded Port Operator of the Year by Lloyd's List

    On 28th September, China Merchants Port Holdings Co. Ltd. (CMPort) has been awarded Port Operator of the Year 2016 in Lloyd's List Global Award taking place in London. Ms. Catherine Chow, CMPort Public Relation Director, Group Marketing and Commercial Department, and Mr. Tissa Wickramasinghe, General Manager, Marketing and Commercial of CICT ,attended the award ceremony.

    This is the second time in two consecutive years that CMPort becomes winner in international award organized by well-known international publication and analyst company as CMPort was winner of terminal operator of the year 2015 awarded by Containerization International.

    The award further reaffirms our strategy is aligning to our vision to become a world's leading comprehensive port service provider. The award allows us to know our status in the industry and on a right path to achieve our goal. CMPort will ever strive for excellence to perform better and better for our customers.

     According to the Lloyds List press release, the judges were impressed with CMPort's customer focused expansion and myriad innovative developments and investments ranging from ‘Smart Port’ performance programmes to the development of Colombo into a leading transshipment hub in South Asia.
    

    Lloyds List was founded in 1692 in London, it is one of the leading maritime commerce which provides market information of the Shipping industry since 1734. The Lloyds List Award is known as the most honorable award among the shipping industry with the reputation of its rigorous organisation and earnest judgments.
